nathan harger photography bio: Nathan Harger received his BFA in photography from the Cleveland Institute of Art and most recently completed his MFA in photography at Parsons The New School of Design in August 2008. His gallery debut was Spring 2009 in the critically acclaimed group exhibition, “Contradictions in Black and White,” which placed his photographs alongside such photography masters as Ray Metzker, Harry Callahan and Irving Penn.

		Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Harger is known for his attraction to the American industrial landscape: cranes, bridges, factories, airplanes, automobiles, and all related monotonous patterns and repetitions. He was included in Photo District News’s annual “30 Under 30,” a list of emerging photographers worth watching, and has been nominated for the 2009 Santa Fe Prize for photography. Harger’s images were also included in American Photography’s portfolio of “Images of the Year” for 2008.

		Nathan Harger’s work is includede in the permanent collections of The Cleveland Museun of Art and The Margulies Collection.

		Harger lives and works in New York and is represented exclusively in the United States by Hasted Hunt Kraeutler.
